Photography Take One

Spring is almost here, the temperatures are rising and I am getting restless. So I have decided to develop a new hobby! What is it you ask? Photography, of course, it sounds easy, and it is a good excuse not to do my homework. Plus, I am probably going to be amazing at it. Lets face it, I have taken thousands of pictures in my lifetime, it all started with my ninja turtle camera in 2nd grade, I was a picture taking fool! Fast forward 15 years (because you are 8 when you are in 2nd grade, right?) and I have decided that it is time to get back to my roots. Clearly I was destine to become an amazing photographer, besides how hard can this be? So I grabed one of those newfangled DSLR’s and headed out to take some of those edgy photos all the cool kids are taking these days. So I drove around looking for a nice grungy building, preferably one that was full of needles and sad looking people that you find in anti-drug advertisements. No luck, but I did find an old burned down factory with broken bottles allover the place. So I grabbed the camera, turned it on and started snapping pictures. You know, just kind of walking around, being cool, taking pictures of broken glass and trendy things like that. After I spent a few minutes scoping out the exterior I began looking for a way inside, and thought I had found one. However, I instead ended up thigh deep in what I can only assume was a mixture of human feces and old motor oil that had been baking in the sun for a few days. Conveniently this wonderful mixture had been laid out 10 feet deep in a dry river bed and covered with an inviting layer of dried leaves. I am convinced this is all part of a plot designed to keep me from fulfilling my full photographic potential. The man cant keep me down forever! I’ll get back out there next week.
